Breed: Weimeraner/Doberman Mix
I received Heartworm Treatment and am now a Healthy Dog! If you would like to help provide others like me with life-saving Heartworm Treatment, please consider donating to the Holly Fund! Let me tell you something about heartworms. It can make us pups really sick and even kill us. But since there are humans that care, they made some yummy stuff to prevent us from getting sick. So why do I have to be treated for heartworms? Because humans I trusted to take care of me either didn't know or didn't care enough to give me the preventative every month.
But since I am a great pup and just so lovable, the great folks here at CARA didn't have to think twice about treating me. It costs a lot of money to do that, but they say they care and they promised to take care of me.
The treatment took just a few weeks and now I am a happy and healthy pup again. Just like nothing ever happened. Watching me run around in the yard, you would never think I was very sick not too long ago. I am playful and get along great with most of the other dogs here. They almost don't know what to do with my playfulness. And with those people that earned my love and trust, I am the most affectionate puppy of all.
When you sit on the floor, I like to lay my head on your shoulder and snuggle. And if you lay your arms around me and scratch my ears, I am in heaven. Just don't let go too soon. I am heartworm negative, UTD on shots and preventatives, very housetrained and have been spayed.
