Thank you for considering adopting one of CARA's Special pets! To apply read about our adoption policies here to fill out an application.

Hello Everyone!

My name is Mr. Merle. I am a 6 year old Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog. I have been with the same family since I was a puppy. My family is having to move overseas and bulldogs are not allowed to fly on airplanes so I sadly, cannot join them. This is hard on all of us.

I am looking for a very specific home. My new owners MUST have bulldog experience. I am not good with other dogs or cats. However, I am great with children.

I am on a special diet since I develop severe skin issues if I am not on this food. I do get chronic ear infections as well. All of this is very common with bulldogs which is why an experienced bulldog owner is required.

I love hanging out with my favorite humans. Cuddles are my favorite. I am scared of thunderstorms. I love going on walks but I still must have a fenced in yard.

If this all sounds good, please apply today!

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred  that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
