We were so sure that Hamlet's family would come forward for him but to our dismay (and Hamlet's even more) they never did. Hamlet spent the first 2 weeks at CARA howling and crying because he was so lonely. He has finally accepted that we'll give him love and has settled down a bit. He still looks at you with those sad eyes but doesn't cry much any longer. He is very gentle and sweet. He's not as fond of males as females so would probably do better in a home with no other male dogs.

Hamlet has all his vaccines, is heartworm negative and neutered. He also appears housetrained as he refuses to go potty in his kennel but waits until he can be taken outside.

All pets available for adoption have been spayed or neutered (unless under 4 months), are current on vaccinations, preventatives, and micro-chipped. All cats have been tested and confirmed negative for Feline AIDS (FIV) and Leukemia (FeLV). All dogs have been tested for heartworm disease.
