Not many people will give an all black dog the time of day. But I'm just as special as the other colors. I don't know why my color causes people to look past me. I'll "smile" at you when I'm happy which isn't the easiest thing for a dog to do. I've lived here a while now and can think of nothing better than getting to go for a walk on a leash. I promise I won't ask much of you just a pat on the head, a quick walk, and food in my tummy. Please give me a chance to show you how great I can be

Rodney is about 1 1/2 years old. Rodney is current on shots, heartworm negative, and neutered. He is a smaller dog weighing about 25 lbs.

If you are interested in adopting Rodney please visit CARA to fill out an on-line application or e-mail us at cara@cara-nc.org.

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
