I very quickly found a great home and have lived there for the past 8 months. My people have gotten so busy with their lives they don't feel they can devote as much love to me as they should; so here I am again, searching for that perfect home. I would love to have a running partner or an obedience/agility home. I am residing with my current family until my new home comes along so I am not available for Saturday viewing hours. Sidney is a purebred aussie with a 3/4 length tail (natural bob), dark blue merle with minimal white trim. She is housetrained, good with children and other dogs. Dog savvy cats are recommended because even though Sidney is good with cats her herding instinct kicks in if they run (she is also not recommended for children under 8 for the same reason). She doesn't have many bad habits besides the typical aussie boredom issues and will dig or chew if she has nothing to do. Her family describes her as "a lover, she loves to play, great with kids, she's never aggressive under any circumstances, and she's a very good watch dog". Note: watchdog in this case doesn't mean anything other than she'll bark and alert you if someone is outside your home. She is not a guard dog. Sidney is heartworm negative, spayed and vaccinated. She is about 14 months old. If you would like to adopt Sidney, please visit CARA to fill out an on-line application or e-mail us at cara@cara-nc.org.
Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt! |
