Introducing Stan! What a catch! The best way to describe Stan is to say he is one of those dogs that everyone wishes they had! He is smart, very kind, and will just follow you around waiting for the next loving pat on his head! Stan is young, probably around a year old, and weighs around 50 lbs. He will be neutered prior to adoption to his forever home :-)

Stan is currently being treated for heartworms, but is due to make a full recovery from his treatment in the next couple weeks! He is currently in a loving foster home and is great with kids, cats and is even potty trained! **Stan is an escape artist. He will require a very secure fenced in yard or someone willing to keep him very supervised when outdoors.(He can scoot under and possibly climb chain link fences)** Even though Stan likes to wander a bit now, this should change after his is neutered :-) Stan is a big cuddler and loves nothing more than to curl up next to you and lay his head on your lap. One look into his big brown eyes and you will know you have helped to save the life of a perfect dog! If you are looking for that perfect tempered family dog, Stan is your man!

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
