He was found with a female dog by a landlord days after the family had moved away and the landlord turned them over to animal control. From there, they came to CARA. Tucker's sister couldn't be saved, but he still has a chance with surgery. Tucker is a very sweet boy, only weighing about 15 lbs. full grown. At some point in Tucker's life, probably not too long ago, his front leg was broken. Because the injury had partially healed, he needs his leg amputated. Read on for more details. We desperately need donations so we can afford the surgery to amputate Tucker's leg. CARA does not have the funds to pay for this type of surgery. The total approximate cost of his surgery will be $400.00 and even $1.00 is appreciated! All donations are tax deductible. He is heartworm negative, current on vaccines, dewormed, deflead, and will be neutered prior to adoption. Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life.
