Hi My name is Veda and I am probably ones of the most unique pups you will ever see! I am a white and black Brindle shepherd!!! I am a 1 year old Dutch Shepherd mix, although my foster mom likes to call me a miniature Dutch because most Dutch Shepards are between 65-85 lbs, but I am only about 45. I am great with most other dogs (I have not met one I do not like yet!) and I tolerate kitties well. I love my human foster sister who is 9 and brother who is 6, and I enjoy playing with them.

The thing about me that makes me even more special is When I came to CARA I was heartworm positive, but I am going through my treatment now and by the middle of July I should be ready for my forever home! I am already spayed, vaccinated, and I even have a microchip! I would love to meet you and be friends. I am crate trained and I am almost potty trained as well. :-)

If you would like to adopt Veda, please visit CARA to fill out an on-line application or e-mail us at adoptions@cara-nc.org.

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
