Learn more about the Dachshund.

I may only be twelve weeks old, but I know a lot, about a lot. For example, I know that my sister, Penny, likes cheek kisses and cuddles. I know my flappy ears and short fur mean I take after a hound breed, but my distinctive black muzzle and golden brown eyes mean I also have some Dachshund in my family history. Those older than twelve weeks say I am a mix-breed, but I prefer to say I am a mix of joy and sweetness. My puppy breath could be marketed as aromatherapy! That's a big word. I told you I knew a lot! I'm little now but I expect my long limbs and sleek body will make a medium-sized dog around 40lbs. Imagine how much more I can add to the many things I already know with a human companion who is willing to teach me as I grow. Come see me at CARA and meet me and I'll give you a complimentary sample of my puppy aromatherapy before it sells out.

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
