Learn more about the Shetland Sheepdog Sheltie.

In my one and half years, I have become very wise.  I have come to CARA after being found without a home, taking care of myself alone.  If you were to just look at my face you'll see kind eyes and very attentive ears, studying all around me very calmly.  A serious as I appear in the front like, a patron at the art museum making sense of a Jackson Pollack painting, my tail is always steadily and softly wagging.  I value patience at first as I build trust with a new family. It was patience that finally found me safe at CARA with a second chance to be the calm and caring dog who will always greet you with a wagging tail.

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
