Thank you for considering adopting one of CARA's Special pets! To apply read about our adoption policies here to fill out an application.

In case you didn’t know, we Chihuahuas know we’re small dogs capable of anything.  Despite our size we are mighty dogs.  A lot of brains and brawn are packed into our little bodies making us very sharp and obedient family members, protective of the ones we love and those who love them. You don’t have to be big to be athletic.  It hasn’t been confirmed but we think it’s possible our legs have springs like Tigger’s tail in Whinny the Pooh.  Challenge us to a foot race and we will be the blurry streak of fur you’ll catch in your periphery as we bolt to the finish line.   As much as we love playing and we also enjoy relaxing and spending time with our family.  Come meet me, Paco the Mighty Sweet, at CARA.

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred  that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
