I am young, being only 6-months old, but already have a story to tell. See, as a very small puppy I was found and taken in by a nice man who took very good care of me. He has a very respectful job that quite suddenly required him to travel far away for an extended period. He was searching for the perfect home for me, but without any other options available, I arrived safely at CARA to be cared for until I find the home I’ll never have to leave. I am so thankful for the generosity of my first human friend and how he helped me learn the meaning of kindness.
Being a puppy still means I have a lot of bouncy puppy energy. I am sweet and affectionate and find everything to be a fun game. If you turn training into a game, I know we’ll both enjoy our time together. After all, it seems like I have some German short hair pointer in my family history, and they are trusting companions who “work” with their humans to find stuff. They call it work, but it’s really just out having fun for us. We’ll both be very happy when You teach me new things, especially because I might be a medium-large doggie when all done growing.

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
