This is NOT a CARA dog. CARA, in an effort to assist the private guardian/rescue, has agreed to post photos and information about this dog in order to find him a permanent home. Do not contact CARA (via email or phone) with questions regarding this dog. Call the person shown as the guardian for Chester.


CHESTER s a Boxer-mix (approx five years old) that has had a rough ride. He showed up at Phyllis' place injured and malnourished. A visit to the vet's for an exam ultimately resulted in the need for his rear left leg being amputated. The loss of a leg doesn't slow this wiggly boy down for one second!


Chester is also undergoing treatment for heartworms. The treatment has been paid for; the new owner's responsibility will be to ensure he receives the proper doses and vet follow-up. Chester will be neutered before he is allowed to go to his forever-home.


Chester, with proper nutrition, is well on his way back to good health. He is extremely friendly and loves attention. He gets along well with other dogs and cats.

Puppies under 4 months: $235 plus Spay/Neuter Deposit: $100
Kittens under 4 months: $70 plus Spay/Neuter Deposit: $100
 
All pets available for adoption have been spayed or neutered (unless under 4 months), are current on vaccinations, preventatives, and micro-chipped. All cats have been tested and confirmed negative for Feline AIDS (FIV) and Leukemia (FeLV). All dogs have been tested for heartworm disease.
