Learn more about the Plott Hound.

My name is Fern! Nice to meet you human! You must have clicked on my picture to learn more about me! Well, I am nothing short of amazing. That's what my humans say at least. So far the humans LOVE me here! When I see them, I get really excited so I shake and wiggle my butt, I can't contain my excitement! I can pretty much trick anyone into giving me a belly rub. I am a bit shy though, being here can be scary sometimes. Even though I get plenty of cuddles here, I prefer to find the perfect human to take care of me until I grow old. I do think I deserve that, don't you? I am hoping my stay here at CARA will be short and sweet.

When my quarantine period is over, the CARA humans will learn more about me. Please ask!

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
