Hi my name is Cookie. When I was rescued by CARA, I was covered in horrible mats, and covered in my own urine/feces. It is not pleasant to think about, but that was my life for quite some time. There is not much detail on my previous life other than the condition I was found it. When I was cleaned up by a wonderful groomer that help CARA out, it was as if I was losing a cast all throughout my body. I ran so far and so fast now that I could see and not feel the tension and pain of the mats. I am a happy girl who like other dogs, but would prefer a home without cats that are very easily accessible. My weight is 37 pounds and my birthday is 11-01-15.

Please come out and meet me! XOXO- COOKIE

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
