Learn more about the Labrador Retriever.

I am around 1 year old, and 32 lbs. I am super sad at the moment because being at the rescue can be a bit scary. I usually curl up in a little ball and just try and sleep so that I can ignore the loud and scary sounds around me. I came into the rescue with two slits in my ears. I don't know why someone would do that to me because I am the sweetest girl. I am quiet and respectful of everyone. I will not give up on humans, and continue to look for my forever home. For now I am thankful that the humans here love me sooooo much and will protect me so that I am never hurt by a human again. Please come and meet me on the 31st of August! I may be overlooked since there are so many dogs here, but I hope someone will see how special I am.

XOXO - Ruffles

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
