Hello! My name is Sophie. I am 5 years old, and the oldest dog at CARA. I am a loving dog, with a heart of gold. My human owner recently passed away and I found myself at animal control. I then was able to meet the humans at CARA, and they took me in. They fell in love with my smile and sweet demeanor. I also do really well with other dogs. I am likely housebroken. At the moment I am a ball of nerves, because I am stressed out going through sooooo much change. Please consider meeting me, I know I am not as young as the others here, but I am just as deserving and WILL make someone very happy as a companion!

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
