Learn more about the Whippet.

This handsome boy (in his brindle coat) was found wandering the streets of downtown Sanford (hence his name)!  He had no idea what uncertain fate awaited him had an animal-loving human not picked him up and brought him to CARA.  It was a rare day that CARA had a vacant kennel; the rest is history.  Steele is very smart and wants nothing more than to make his humans happy.  He is easy-going and gets a long well with most every other pup at CARA.  He'd love to be your forever-pup and make you laugh and keep you warm these chilly nights.

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
