Jersey Girl is the sweetest most deserving cat. We rescued her from a hoarding house, that was in the worst condition we have ever dealt with. We also rescued many dogs from this home, thankfully she was the only cat (along with her four kittens) that were living in this home. Jersey was anemic, due to the heavy flea infestation and poor living conditions, but she is feeling much better now. As if living in a nightmare house wasn't enough, she tested positive for FIV. Thankfully she appears very healthy and FIV positive cats can live normal happy lives. We hope to adopt her out with her son Mike, by herself or to a home with another FIV cat. Jersey does not ask for much. She is quiet, sweet and respectful. She wants a comfy bed near a window where the sun will shine down on her to keep her warm and cozy. Please take a chance on this girl, we want her to live her best life so she can forget her horrible past.

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
