Thank you for considering adopting one of CARA's Special pets! To apply read about our adoption policies here to fill out an application.

Hello! I am Apple Fritter. I am a small little dude, that needs some time to open up. I was surrendered to animal control in bad conditions and am so frightened. I cower in fear with most people but the volunteers here at CARA that have sat on the floor with me and given me time to warm up have noticed how loving I am. This enviornment can be stressful and scary so of course I am going to be fearful. If you have a nice quite and cozy home I know I will open right up. I seem to be really close to Powder who was surrendered and rescued as well. In face we are sharing a kennel and keeping each other's spirits high. I would love to be adopted with him but it is not completely necessary. Please apply for me today!!

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred  that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
