Learn more about the Akita.

Hello humans! I am CAREBEAR. I am a female, 90lb Akita. I also happen to be blind. However that does not stop me from living a totally normal life. I love to give you the best squishy hugs, and I absolutely love going on walks so I can enjoy nature and the beautiful world we live in! I do have one drawback sadly. I do not want to live with other animals. I also prefer older kids. I am just an amazingly sweet girl, who needs an easy going home, who does not mind helping me feel comfortable with a new enviornment. Can you believe I have been at the rescue for almost a year?? Please apply for me today!!!

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
