Learn more about the Labrador Retriever.

My name is Violet. I ended up at the county shelter, and after a month of noone being interested in met...I was at risk of being euthanized. Thankfully that did not happen and I was placed in a great foster home. I am so happy they opened up their home just in time for me to see another day!

My foster family reports that I am quite the well adjusted and sweet girl. I am estimated to be around 1 year old. I am around 40lbs and quite petite. I get along great with dogs and cats, and am learning to be comfortable in a crate! I do quite well if I say so myself! I would likely do well with children as well.

I like structure and routine, and would thrive in a home with other dogs. Hardwood or laminate floors have proven to be a bit scary for me but I am learning that they are totally safe!

I am equal parts playful and snuggly. I think I might be primarily a lab or pitty mix.

Please inquire to meet me I am so very special and would make an amazing companion!!

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
