Chewbacca aka Chewy is my name! I am the sweetest, gentle giant you will ever meet. Happy go lucky kind of guy, I love to play and learn new things. My big brown puppy dog eyes and my brindle coat are irresistible! I was rescued from the Lee County animal shelter and have been on my best behavior. If you like bigger dogs, but want all the snuggles, I'm the one you have been looking for!

Our adoption fees are:
Dogs: $250
Cats: $95
Puppies under 4 months: $235 plus Spay/Neuter Deposit: $100
Kittens under 4 months: $70 plus Spay/Neuter Deposit: $100

All pets available for adoption have been spayed or neutered (unless under 4 months please read about our adoptions here ), are current on vaccinations and preventatives, and micro-chipped. Cats have been tested and confirmed negative for Feline AIDS and Leukemia. Dogs have been tested for heartworm disease.

Our shelter is located at 42 Deep River Rd in Sanford and is open Tues, Thurs, & Fri from 3pm - 7pm & Sat from 10-2pm (other times available by appointment). CARA's adoption process and online application can be found at http://www.cara-nc.org/info/adoption
