Meet Dasher! 

Dasher joined us about a month ago due to his owner having a stroke and unable to properly care for him. Before CARA came to his rescue, Dasher was scheduled to get euthanized because no other rescue could help him. Once the CARA staff heard about his story, we had to step up and save him. Dasher has settled in well and the staff absolutely loves him. He is slow to warm up to new people so his potential adopters would need to be patient with him. He enjoys going on leisure walks but will enjoy some relaxing time on a couch. He currently shares a room with a cat and does not seem bothered by her and he does well with other dogs. Dash walks well on a leash, housebroken, and rides well in a car.

 

Dasher does have special medical needs. His previous owner stated that he has seizures but triggers are unknown. With the little bit of time Dasher has been with CARA, he has not had an episode.

All pets available for adoption have been spayed or neutered (unless under 4 months), are current on vaccinations, preventatives, and micro-chipped. All cats have been tested and confirmed negative for Feline AIDS (FIV) and Leukemia (FeLV). All dogs have been tested for heartworm disease.
