Hi, I’m Emmitt and I love kids, cats and other dogs. I’m crate trained, housebroken and a calming presence for humans and other animals around me. I’ve been living with my foster family for awhile so I’m already used to living in a home environment with other cats and dogs. I’ve even visited an elementary school where I brought smiles to all the kids and adults faces.

I was in rough shape when I was brought into CARA with skin issues and heartworms which have all been treated. I was very shutdown and scared but with the help of my foster family, I’ve turned into the best companion you could ever ask for. Will you please consider meeting me so I can finally find my forever home?

Adoption Fees:

Dogs: $250
Cats: $95
Puppies under 4 months: $235 plus Spay/Neuter Deposit: $100

Kittens under 4 months: $70 plus Spay/Neuter Deposit: $100

All pets available for adoption have been spayed or neutered (unless under 4 months), are current on vaccinations, preventatives, and micro-chipped. All cats have been tested and confirmed negative for Feline AIDS (FIV) and Leukemia (FeLV). All dogs have been tested for heartworm disease.

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life.
