My name is Newton Jay. But if I am good boy you can call me Newton! I am a 7 year old (slightly overweight) Boston Terrier. I was surrendered to the rescue because my original owner could no longer care for me. I am such a sweet little angel and taking my big life changes very well but I do want to find somewhere safe and peaceful to land. The rescue noticed that I really need a medical exam by a vet because I am dealing with an old leg injury :( My owner was recommend to have my leg amputated after I was hit by a car years ago, but she could not afford it. So now I really need to be seen to follow up in this. I am dragging around my poor little foot and it sometimes bleeds. So far rescue knows that I get along with dogs and likely cats too. I am okay with children but have not been around them for a while. I really need a special home.

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
