I’m a working dog breed and so I am looking for a job. I am no sleeping pill and wouldn’t do well waiting for you to come home. I am more of an Energizer Bunny that really would love to wear you out all day. I still need some work in the socialization department since I had a rough start in life. But I do great with any dog that is as active as me. They probably should be my size too, since I like to rough-house a little. And if they are dominant, they may find me annoying. But I am going to obedience training and catching on very fast (once they discovered I like cheese better than hot dogs)!! For a dog that has spent a long time in a kennel, I am getting really good at keeping my home clean. I am very affectionate with people I know and actually very attached to them.  I will tell you if somebody walks up that doesn’t belong. But I prefer to chase your dogs around in your big back yard. Or maybe you can play Frisbee with me. Consider Frisbee my Middle Name. With a little work on my self-confidence and training and your experience with high energy working dogs like me, I can be the best friend you will ever find.

Lucy has been spayed, and is current on her vaccinations and preventatives.

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
