I am Savannah and I just returned to CARA. You see, my new family had another dog, that sadly didn't like me. So with heavy heart they thought it was best for me to go to a home with a dog brother or sister that does.

You see, I like everybody! I haven't met an enemy in my life and I play so well with the other dogs and the children here. I think I would like cats too, if you show me that they won't eat me and are not considered play-mates either. ...Maybe if I try to play nice!?

And if you can't tell by my pictures: I am every bit of the Beauty of a Shepherd. And if you look at all those great things we Shepherds do.... K9 SAR (Rescue), Police Dogs, Soldiers, work in Hospitals! Not to talk about the things that come natural. Like being your best friend. Watching out for your children. Waiting for you to come home after a long rough day at work; just to make you laugh and smile again.

Here I am: The potential for anything you ever could want me to be! And with a little patience and work (don't forget the treats!), I will learn my manners in no time! Children, Dogs, Cats...... Just ask and I will learn to get along with them!

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
