 Seamus is an adorable 1.5 year old cocker spaniel. He has a sweet cocker personality and would do best in a home with older children as he is a little shy when it comes to a lot of activity.

Like all the dogs that come to CARA, Seamus was tested for heartworm disease and unfortunately tested positive. Seamus is currently undergoing a treatment protocol under direction of a veterinarian and this treatment protocol will need to be continued by his new pet parent. Seamus will need limited activity for the next year due to the treatment so no marathon running or decathlons :) However normal leashed walks will be fine.

Seamus will be neutered soon and will be ready to be adopted around the begining of September.

All pets available for adoption have been spayed or neutered, are current on vaccinations and preventatives, and micro-chipped. Cats have been tested and confirmed negative for Feline AIDS and Leukemia. Dogs have been tested (and treated, if necessary) for heartworm disease.

Our shelter is located at 42 Deep River Rd in Sanford and is open Tues, Wed, Fri & Sat from 10-2pm and Thursdays from 3-7pm (other times available by appointment).
