Sweet Dog In Search Of New Family

I like to go on long walks, chase frisbees and balls, and play with other dogs. I'm house-broken and do well on a leash, though I still pull a lot! I love children and am a devoted family member - believe me, I'll let you know when strangers come around. I also love other animals - my best friend is a cat! <
I get very excited by new people, new smells or the opportunity to play. Unfortunately, once my tail gets wagging, I can't control it and sometimes people or things around me get whacked. I am playful and very excitable, so I need to join a family that can spend lots of time exercising with me or that has a large fenced-in yard for me to play in. I am used to being an inside dog at night, but that's because I get lonely. I would love to join a family with another dog who I can play with and who can keep me company. I haven't had any obedience classes, but I know how to sit and speak - I stay for my dad, but not my mom!

I am a loving, sweet dog who wants to be everyone's best friend. If you are interested in adopting me, please contact CARA with any questions or fill out an adoption application on CARA's website.

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
