Learn more about the Chihuahua.

Once upon time, there was a black and tan Chihuahua that was born on January 30, 2013 and presently resides with one of CARA's wonderful foster parents. Shelly is currently being treated a princess and getting spoiled. Her foster mom says that she loves to play but when Shelly isn't playing, she's cuddling. Her foster mom says that Shelly does well with cats and dogs. If you would like to meet this 5 pound cutie, please call CARA so that we can set something up with her foster mom!

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
