Learn more about the Australian Shepherd.

Hi, I'm Sparkles the Australian Shepherd, and I can't wait to become your devoted companion! At my one year of age (born 5/20/2014), I love to bring out my puppy side at play time, yet I'm old enough to know the ropes around you humans! I would love for you to teach me lots of commands - I will pick them up very quickly as a smart Aussie. And don't worry about excessive shedding: my short coat keeps that problem at a minimum. I love to be around people, especially kids, so please come by and play with me to consider making me your forever companion!

If you would like to adopt this pet or any of their friends, please visit CARA to fill out an online application.

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
