While the Holiday Season is great for some, for others it isn't. Especially not for Hounds. Some people like to hunt and get us for that reason. But when the hunting season is over or we didn't do well, we get kicked out on the street. And a lot of us starve to death, because there is nobody to love and feed us. Don't they know that a hound's love is forever?

I am not sure what I did wrong, but somehow I found myself all lost and alone. And as you can tell from my pictures, I had to go hungry for a while too. But now I am in a great place and I get to eat every day. I even have a warm place to sleep.
But sometimes I lay on my bed and wonder how it would be to have a home and a loving family. How it would feel to sleep on a soft bed and not have to sleep alone in my kennel at night. I am such a gentle fellow and strive to please. I am doing so good on my manners and I do almost anything to make you happy with me.
And since they take good care about me here, I come heartworm negative, UTD on shots and preventatives and am already neutered. Don't you have room in your heart, home and family for a faithful hound like me? I promise you my love forever.

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
