Hello, my name is Radar and you should know that behind my handsome and athletic exterior, I am filled with the sweetness of marshmallow fluff and will melt into your arms. I attribute this to my Boxer family history, you know, strong on the outside but a total goofball with the kindest of hearts. I didn’t get the Boxer underbite but I am quite proud of my Boxer ears and signature coif.

I’m a bit confused as to why I have been at CARA for 5 months now given the incredible amount of attention I receive when my human friends here take me to different adoption events to meet potential families. I kiss all the kids that lend me their faces and enjoy all of the affection I receive from new friends. My human friends at CARA continue to say, “Sorry Radar, no one has called” when I ask for my messages. My room at CARA is safe and clean with a private outdoor patio for birdwatching, but I am most calm with a well established routine of exercise and the ability to lay in the grass or sunlight streaming through a window for nap time.
Again, due to my handsome appearance it is not obvious that I am a cuddly lap dog, family movie night with sleeping bags on the floor dog, anytime jogging partner dog, and princess hat at a tea party or cape wearing at an epic squirt gun battle dog. I just really want to be your dog. At three years of age I am done growing in size but my metaphysical growth towards happiness and contentment, ever accepting of your love and discipline, will never cease. Dogs are happiest with well defined boundaries and inclusion in your life’s activities. Our patient and caring companions mean everything to us and our happiness is directly reflected in proving their happiness. As for cats, well, they don’t like to play with me and I am good having only human and doggie friends. I really love kids but even my kisses are a little too much for the tiny ones that are still figuring out how their feet work. I’m about 60lbs so we’re not in the same weight class. Kids a little older are a better match for playtime and receiving my excited affection. I’ll be checking my messages and look forward to hearing from you!!!

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred  that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
