Thank you for considering adopting one of CARA's Special pets! To apply read about our adoption policies here to fill out an application.

Hello friends.  My name is Flap Jack and I have been in a foster home with CARA since February of 2022.  In my foster home I am working on trusting humans.  I love all the cats and dog friends that I have made there but still not too sure about the creatures that walk on two legs.  My foster family is trying to work on that though, every day, in hopes that one day I will have enough trust to be able to be placed in my furever home.  Please contact the nice folks at CARA if you have any questions about me.  I am definitely looking for a very patient family, who is willing to give me lots of time to adjust to new situations.

* Special information regarding adopting Cats and Kittens*

Our adoption fees are:

*  Altered  cats $ 95

* Kittens    under 6 months who have not  been spayed or neutered or who have a medical reason why they cannot be altered before adoption -    $70 plus S/N Deposit: $ 100 if not altered prior to adoption

Our policy is that all adopted      animals      must be spayed or neutered      before leaving the premises. If at      any           time      an      animal      under the age of      6   months leaves our rescue group unaltered, the adopters must sign and      agree to our spay/neuter contract. This contract states each adopter      agrees to have the      animal      being adopted spayed/neutered by a      veterinarian of their choice by the age of 6 months. As part of this      contract an additional $ 100 deposit fee will be required. This      deposit fee will be refunded upon verification of the spay/neuter      contract. If you have      any      further questions regarding what is included      within your adoption fee or the spay/neuter contract, please refer to      our website.

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred  that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
